Lisa shares here experience with smartCRUTCH while recovering from a recent knee surgery.
"Good morning!
I finally got to use my crutches. I had extensive knee surgery on December 8th. I stayed in the hospital until the evening of the 10th. By December 14th I was off my walker and using the crutches. It’s amazing how quickly things progressed from there. The crutches allowed me to put more weight on my leg and dramatically increased my range of motion over what I had with the walker. In no time at all I was using just one to go up and down stairs, then shortly after that I only had to use one or both of them when my leg got tired or if I was walking for long distances. By Christmas I was actually driving my car. It’s a 5-speed and believe it or not my surgery was on my clutch leg. By January 1st I was off all support and I’m now walking amazing well for someone who just had the type of surgery I had only a month ago.
My physical therapists and orthopedic surgeon were all impressed with the crutches. My surgeon even took them for a spin down the hall. She really liked the way the hand grips don’t bend your wrist back like conventional crutches do.
When I knew I was going to have to have knee surgery I knew I was in trouble. I have tendonitis in my rotator cuff in my left shoulder. I knew that conventional crutches were going to jack up my shoulder. I found your company by doing a Google search on the words “comfortable crutches” and I’m really glad that I did. I am very proud – and grateful – to say that I have had absolutely no pain in my shoulder whatsoever during my recovery, and I know that I owe that to your product.
I would definitely recommend your crutches to anyone who needs them. They are so comfortable to use you almost forget that you’re using them.
