On Saturday February 6th at the San Diego Supercross, Honda Red Bull’s Andrew Short suffered an injury to his lower leg that will keep him out of action for up to six weeks. The injury comes at a tough time for the Texan who was sitting in fourth place in the series and edging closer each week to capturing his first Supercross class win. Andrew was sitting in second place in the main event with two laps when he cased a triple jump which caused an undisplaced fracture of his talus bone
As soon as we heard about Andrew’s injury we sent him a set of smartCRUTCH® crutches and this is what he had to say;
“During the time I had fractured my ankle and injured my knee the smartCRUTCH® crutches saved my arm pits and sides from the abuse that comes from conventional crutches. Every time I had to be on my crutches for an extended time I just couldn’t believe how comfortable they were. They actually made me smile.â€
We wish Andrew a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back on the track.
